Comptche, California

Comptche is a census-designated area in the County of Mendocino, California. It is set 17 miles southeastern side of Fort Bragg, at 187 feet or 57 m. elevation. A KG-3 Primary school is serving the small town of Comptche. Even though the exact history of the town’s name is unidentified, there was a village of the Pomo folks named Komacho close by.
