On his new album In Plain Sight, Neal Francis offers up a body of work both strangely enchanted and painfully self-aware, unfolding in songs sparked from Greek myths and frenzied dreams and late-night drives in the depths of summer delirium.

The 2023 event will focus on economic equity in Marin County. One of the lasting impacts of the COVID pandemic was the awareness of the challenges within the county to achieve equity among residents, specifically economic equity. Many of our residents lack the opportunities to create economic security and mobility.

A singer-songwriter known for his lyrical acumen and plaintive harmonica style, Joe Pug dropped out of college and moved to Chicago where he worked as a carpenter before breaking into the city’s music scene. Since 2008 he has released a string of critically-acclaimed albums and toured heavily in the U.S. and abroad.

How to honor the legacy of a band deemed sacred? To tread on holy ground is perilous, and must be done with the intent and spirit of a disciple—Pay attention to the intricacies of the magic, explore the far ends of the innovation, strive for ever-growing ability, and let the purity of the love for the music drive it all.

The Brother Brothers are the indie folk duo of Adam and David Moss. The identical twins were born and raised in Peoria, Illinois and originally based in Brooklyn, but have been ultimately and profoundly shaped by indiscriminate rambling. They are the kind of people who have a story about everything, and moreso, one you might genuinely like to hear.

Ron Sexsmith is a three time, Juno award winning singer songwriter from St Catharines Ontario. Born in 1964, Ron was drawn to music from an early age by the melodic songs of the era, which he heard on the radio and by his Mom’s record collection. His earliest musical heroes were Buddy Holly and Elton John.

This San Francisco native boasts various styles and an affinity for blending numerous genres as diverse as the city that raised him. His eclectic bags of records and positive vibes organically allow the good times to roll, whatever the occasion.

AJ Lee and Blue Summit made their first appearance in Santa Cruz in 2015. Led by singer, songwriter, and mandolinist, AJ Lee, the bluegrass band has performed all over the world, but finds home in California’s Bay Area. The latest full length project, I’ll Come Back, debuted August 2021 – with national touring in support of the record ongoing.

Brother and sister Mimi (vocals/ Sono Musette) and Gabe Pirard (guitar/vocals) from France are joined by violinist Magali Sanscartier from Quebec (Barrio Manouche / Dgiin) to bring you “A sip of Dgiin” – trio version of the 6 piece band.

Stars of the Bay Area country music scene come together to pay tribute to a country music legend, the Coal Miner’s Daughter herself, Loretta Lynn. This show will feature the Loretta hits you love, along with some deep album cuts, all backed up by Oakland’s own Crying Time.

If you’ve been to our first two Taverns you’ll expect another original interpretation, this time in Northern Marin County, of the things we love. That’s serving fresh, in-season craft beers alongside our unfiltered Tavern classics, Kellerbier and Dunkelweizen. Born and raised in Idaho, Jeff Crosby has been sharing his unique perspective of Americana throughout the US and Europe over the past decade. After moving to Los Angeles CA in 2012, Crosby landed 2 songs (“This Old Town” and “Oh Love, Oh Lord”) on the hit FX series Sons of Anarchy which has led to the band continually performing over 200 shows a year throughout the US and Europe.

Grammy nominee and World Music pioneer Jai Uttal presents an intimate solo acoustic performance of inspiring songs and devotional chants.

The Sausalito 4th of July tradition is back in full swing! There is a full day of fun starting with a parade, then a picnic, and then the famous Sausalito Fireworks show. The annual parade through town begins at 10:00am at the intersection of Second and Main Street, heads down Bridgeway, detours down Caledonia, and ends at the judging tent on the corner of Litho and Caledonia.
This signature sail, boarding in Sausalito, will take you under the Golden Gate Bridge and all the way out to Point Bonita Lighthouse. This is a prime area for wildlife and we'll have a naturalist on-board to guide you through the whole experience!

Join us for an exciting afternoon on the water as we marvel at the show above, featuring the world-famous Blue Angels. We’ll coast along the Bay aboard the Freda B, an 80-foot coastal schooner, while enjoying lunch and Montelena wines.

Join us for our Books Beyond Borders book club in which we’ll travel through time and place to better understand our present world. Each month, read the selected book (limited free copies available, otherwise check yours out at the library) and then we’ll meet to discuss it, sample some related food and maybe music, and do a fun related craft or writing activity.

Your child will experience nature and garden activities to learn about: Planting and harvesting Animals and insects that support plant life Foraging Animal tracking and observation Seasonal stories, songs, and crafts The class is taught by Rachel Rubinstein, Director of Education.
