Gualala Arts and the Whale & Jazz Festival Series present “Jazz Meets Classical” a special concert event Sunday, April 2, at 4:00 p.m. The concert features four outstanding talents: violinist Mads Tolling, pianist Miles Graber, guitarist Dave MacNab, and harpist Anna Maria Mendieta.

Larain Matheson returns to the Dolphin Gallery for a new exhibit titled “Encaustic Art: Exploring the Seen and the Unseen”. The exhibit opens Saturday, April 8 and continues through Sunday, April 30, 2023. A reception is scheduled for Saturday, April 8 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Join us for our annual "Glow in the Dark" Easter Egg Hunt and Open Mic Night! Over 200 eggs will be hidden in the backyard. There will be a variety of prizes (2 - $50 prize eggs, drinks, shirts, hats, candy....and some fun "Adult" prizes).

“Hold On To Your Dreams; Homage to the Musical Legacy of Gil Scott-Heron”, as artist Jeanie Dooha describes, is an exhibit illustrating Gil’s songs. In addition, the exhibit will include two portraits by guest artist Rolayn Tauben.

“LIGHT AND DARK – The Pulse of Life” is a new exhibit featuring the works of Doug Volz. The exhibit opens at Gualala Arts’ Coleman Hall Friday, April 14, 2023. “Light and Dark” continues through Sunday, May 7.

Gather with a group of women for a week-long retreat during the summer solstice, a beautiful and nourishing time of expanded light and long days. Join us as we renew and reclaim our own innate strength to inhabit our lives with confidence, trust, compassion and wisdom.
Current Events

From nori to giant kelp, from bull kelp to surfgrass and eelgrass, seaweed is explored in this exhibition organized and traveled by Exhibit Envoy.

For Suzanne Dunn, the Sonoma/Mendocino coast is a place of peace. “From this place l create abstract and expressive atmospheric landscape paintings & ceramics inspired by our North Pacific Coast and the surrounding landscape.

A remarkable variety of talent and artistic expression will be on display in the Burnett Gallery and the Elaine Jacob Foyer, with art created by students from kindergarten through high school. The collection, as always, will be thought provoking, inspirational, and will certainly bring a smile to your face.

Beginning and continuing students will learn the ancient and dynasty-old traditions of Chinese Brush Painting, including grinding your own Sumi Ink, loading the ink onto your Calligraphy Brush, and applying the Brush Strokes to rice paper, to create Bamboo and Flowers and more. Students will also learn Chinese symbolism & philosophy of this serene style of painting.
