Michelle Lambert, brings a world of experience when she steps up to the microphone. This Pop/Folk singer/songwriter has toured out of Nashville, Los Angeles, Denver and Miami after graduating from Berklee College of Music on a full scholarship.

Friday evenings, March 31 - April 21, 2023 (4 sessions). You will learn the basic skills of wheel-throwing. There will be an initial demo on throwing, trimming, and glazing and you will also receive one-on-one guidance. Come prepared to get messy and have fun!

Cesar Chavez Day is meant to encourage neighbors to participate in an act of community service that pays homage to Chávez’s lifetime of work as an American farm laborer, union organizer, and civil rights activist. Honor his memory by joining us for a day of service at Sonoma Garden Park on Saturday, April 1 from 9:00 am-12:00 pm.

Enjoy creating a collage with local foraged native plants that can be preserved and viewed in a natural wood shadow box. Create a magical faery layer, a forest floor, a mossy habitat, and more with intricate lichen, acorns and floral abundance. Using extra strength hot glue we will create inspiring compositions of the organic.

David Nelson is a founding member of the New Riders of the Purple Sage and long time musical partner of Jerry Garcia’s dating back to 1962 in the pre-Grateful Dead bluegrass band, The Wildwood Boys. Nelson was also a member of the Jerry Garcia Acoustic Band and performed on three Grateful Dead albums.

Rising Appalachia’s soulful folk-roots sound traces back to parents who prioritized culture and diversity, and to the grassroots music communities that dot the hills and valleys of the Deep South. Countless weekends spent at fiddle camps like the Swannanoa Gathering, immersed in what they affectionately call “Appalachian trance music.”

These workshops are geared to the advanced, ongoing students who want in-person instruction and feedback on their colored pencil projects. GA-20 clearly is on to something big. It’s a movement, a new traditional blues revival. Imagine and create jewel-like art by working with beautiful vitreous (glass) enamel colors fired on fine silver! Cloisonné on fine silver is an ancient technique for decorating fine silver objects with colored vitreous (glass) enamel. The colors are separated by thin strips of fine silver wire and fired in the kiln at 1450 degrees for 1 ½ minutes.

Legend has it, the first May Day Festival was back in 1925. Four musicians from very different musical backgrounds came together to create a full-time professional touring band with the aim of showcasing the rich tradition of songs and tunes of the North East of Scotland on an international stage.

You will learn how to make pottery with both hard and soft slabs. The slab building technique involves rolling out clay to an even thickness - usually 1 cm - then cutting shapes, folding, bending, manipulating and joining together to form a finished object.

For students who have previously taken both hand-building and wheel-throwing classes with me, this class is your space to create and be in a like-minded community. You will have one-on-one guidance and access to a fully-equipped ceramics studio. Come to class with your own ideas and learn how to make them out of clay.

In this 7-week course, we will give you the tools, knowledge, motivation, and community, to overcome climate paralysis and take climate action. Over seven meetings, community members lead by Dr. Dan Levitis will organize prompt discussions, project initiatives, and policy advocacy from strong climate data to propel actions for climate resiliency.

Sewing machines and materials for hand stitching will be available for use during this facilitated program. Our Art Studio Specialist will be on hand to support your little learners as they explore the art of sewing. Materials and embellishments will be provided. This specialized eight-hour AHA HeartSaver Course is for the child care professional and helps those who are responsible for children's health manage illnesses and injuries until first responders arrive, including asthma. Meets Community Care Licensing requirements for daycare homes and centers.

UC California Naturalist certification course. This 8-week course explores our local ecology, engages you in participatory science, and allows you to share your knowledge with others. The 40-hour course combines a science curriculum with guest lecturers, field trips, and project-based learning to explore the unique ecology and natural history.
Meet the Ghosts of Sonoma on this 2 hour spooky ghost walk led by local paranormal investigators (as seen in Haunted Sonoma County, Ghost Adventures, and Haunted Wine Country) who share ghost hunting equipment and macabre tales in around the plaza and through the city streets.
